Taiga Bear Kuusamo Oy is a 100% Kuusamo-based company offering nature experiences, animal watching and photography.

Our story
Kuntivaara in Kuusamo is famous for its bears, and their activities have been watched and photographed there for over a decade. We got information that previous company Karhu-Kuvaus Kuusamo was looking for a successor after the previous owner was going to retire.
We heard about this opportunity and didn’t hesitate for a moment. At the beginning of 2023, we established Taiga Bear Kuusamo Oy.
The three of us new entrepreneurs are united by an endless interest in observing wild Arctic nature, and photography.
We never get bored of watching nature
For us, following nature is a passion. Even though trips to the bear hides are work for us, every moment spent together with our clients in nature is an experience for us too.
Nature photography is also an important part of our work. We have also wanted to create a good facilities for professional photography.
We also want to take forward the important message of biodiversity conservation. Nature provides the possibility and conditions for us humans to live.
Cooperation with Oulanka National Park and Metsähallitus
We are a cooperation company with Metsähallitus and Oulanka National Park. As part of the partnership, we are committed to the principles of sustainable nature tourism.
